Table Tennis Open is a skill simulation game in the sports category. Across matches and levels, the player attempts to beat opponents at table tennis while crowds of virtual fans look on in a gymnasium. They play in multiple matches to earn coin purses. They use their winnings to upgrade the style of their paddle. If they're willing to view an ad video, they can also upgrade the paddle's size by 20% at any time.
The player faces one opponent per match. The opponent is invisible and represented by their paddle, which is positioned closest to the crowds. The player faces the stands. They start with a small red paddle that has a light-colored wood handle. They only need a light touch of the controls to reposition the paddle to hit the bouncing white ball. When they perform well and achieve a victory, they move onto the next match and level.
Table Tennis Open isn't a complicated game. The player merely needs excellent hand-eye coordination and precise controls. The entire point of the game is to show their skill at hitting the ball in a pseudo-realistic scenario. If they feel that they can't win a match or need a break, they can forfeit.
